Amperage Infrastructure Corporation Makes Strategic Investment in Aristotle Unified Communications in Support of Rural Broadband Deployment

September 12, 2024, – Amperage Infrastructure Corporation (Amperage), an investor in broadband service providers across rural America, announces a strategic investment in Aristotle Unified Communications (Aristotle), a broadband service provider which delivers Fiber and Fixed Wireless high-speed internet to rural and underserved areas.

The investment from Amperage will support Aristotle’s network buildouts with comprehensive services to enhance value and reach, thereby aligning closely with Aristotle’s mission to deliver broadband to the most needful communities. Aristotle is committed to delivering high-speed internet to rural and lower-income communities that have historically been overlooked by traditional providers. Amperage provides a full-service platform for developing and scaling broadband infrastructure, addressing expertise and resource gaps to expand connectivity. Aristotle’s network currently covers over 33,000 households across Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Illinois.

“Aristotle’s work to eliminate barriers to broadband deployment nationwide align with our mission to bridge the digital gap through fit-for-purpose strategic partnerships tailored to the needs of underserved communities,” said Amperage Co-Founder, Jack Lawrence. “Our investment and partnership will help Aristotle more efficiently deploy and scale high-quality broadband to communities that need it most.”

Aristotle’s CEO, L. Elizabeth Bowles, has over 15 years of experience in rural broadband policy. From 2017-2021, she served as Chair of the FCC's Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee and is a former President of WISPA, the trade association for the Fixed Wireless industry. A member of the Fiber Broadband Association, Elizabeth actively works on national and regional policy to expand broadband access to historically ignored communities, particularly in rural communities and areas of persistent poverty.

“The Aristotle team is pleased to have Amperage as a partner to help accelerate our network expansion,” said Elizabeth Bowles, CEO, Aristotle. “Amperage’s investment recognizes Aristotle’s legacy of advocacy for affordable broadband in rural communities. This investment will directly support our mission of ensuring broadband equity and related economic prosperity for unserved and underserved communities, particularly those that are rural or economically disadvantaged.”

Broadband connectivity is critical for rural communities to be able to tap into greater economic potential, and Aristotle is excited to announce that in addition to upgrades and hardening of its existing network, it is breaking ground on new projects in the Arkansas and Mississippi Delta regions. Amperage’s financial and support service investment into Aristotle will accelerate this deployment, which aligns with Amperage’s mission to help communities nationwide tap into greater economic potential through internet connectivity.
